Flavoured Sausage Range

Pork and Beef Flavoured
Voted on the NZ TV programme “Target 2007,” the best Pork sausage for value, taste and meat content by an independent taste test panel.

A combination of meats, finely chopped with The Mad Butcher’s own flavours and spices added. Great for boiling, on the BBQ, pan frying or grilling.

Chunky Cheese Sausage
A blend of meat, flavours and spices that are finely chopped with grated Egmont cheese added.

Great on the BBQ or grilling, the kids will love these.

Sausage Meat
Manufactured from a selected blend of meat, flavours and spices. Our sausage meat is filled into 500-gm pouches for your convenience.

Perfect for a homemade meat loaf or try making scotch eggs.

Genuine Sausage Range

Genuine Pork Sausages
100% Pork meat is used in these sausages. It is finely chopped and blended with The Mad Butcher’s own flavours, herbs and spices added.

Great on the BBQ or grilling.

Genuine Chicken Sausages
100% NZ Chicken meat is used in these sausages. All the ingredients are finely chopped and blended with the right flavours to make them a hit with all the family.

Great on the BBQ or grilling.

Genuine Lamb Sausages
Made from 100% NZ Lamb. The Genuine Lamb sausages are manufactured in a traditional process and blended with The Mad Butcher’s secret flavours then filled into a natural Hog casing.

Traditional Style Sausages

Country Beef
Made from 100% NZ Beef, traditionally ground and blended with The Mad Butcher’s secret flavours added.

One of our trained operators carefully fills these into a natural hog casing, they are then ready for a classis Kiwi BBQ.

Country Pork
A traditional Pork sausage that is processed in a way to give them a texture and taste that will let you know that you are eating a real Pork sausage.

Pan fry until the natural skins go crispy.

Beef & Garlic
Made from 100% NZ Beef, traditionally ground with garlic added and The Mad Butcher’s own spices and flavours added, filled into a natural Hog casing.

Thin Sausage Range

Mediterranean Lamb Thins
Blended with 100% NZ lamb and mixed with a selection of North African flavours & spices, this sausage is a winner. It has a wonderful middle eastern flavour and is a long thin style sausage ideal for quick & easy cooking especially on the BBQ.

Breakfast & Chipolata Sausages
A combination of meats that are finely chopped with The Mad Butcher’s own flavours and spices added. These are a thin sausage and offer the convenience of quicker cooking times.

Add them to your morning breakfast with Eggs, Bacon and Hash browns.

Lamb Mint & Rosemary
Blended with 100% NZ lamb with mint and rosemary added to give these sausages a great taste. They are manufactured and available for sale as a thin sausage, giving the added advantage of quick and convenient cooking. Serve these at your next BBQ and they will be a big hit.

BBQ Pre-Cook Sausages

Made from a combination of meats that are finely chopped and blended with The Mad Butcher’s secret flavours and spices. The BBQ Pre Cooks are then cooked making them a quick and easy summer BBQ sausage; some say “the best in the world”.

Kiwis love these sausages, as they are ideal for a variety of meals from Bangers and Mash to Curried Sausages.

We make these in a variety of flavours:

BBQ Cheesey Snags
Our BBQ Snags are a new variety to our range.

The Snags are manufactured with a blend of meats and flavours with grated Egmont cheese added to give them great taste that all the family will love. They are produced as a “Skinless” sausage and conveniently pre packed with 8 Snags per packet.

These will be a hit at your next BBQ or pan fried for dinner.

Heat & Eat Sausage Range

Polonies, Cocktails and Frankfurters
A great selection for the entire family.

The Mad Butcher has developed their own flavours for this range of great tasting fully cooked Heat and Eat sausages. They are all made with a combination of meats, blended with spices and filled into coloured casings.

The Cocktails are always a hit with the kids, either hot or cold (with plenty of Tomato sauce).
Our Frankfurters are a favourite in between a hot bun with mustard.
The Mad Butcher Polonies make a great meal with mashed potatoes and vegetables, or sliced thinly to make a yum sandwich with your favourite relish.

The Mad Butcher Beef Supreme carries the Heart Foundation Tick of Approval. Made from 100% NZ Beef, traditionally ground and blended with The Mad Butcher’s secret flavours and herbs.

Italian
The second Mad Butcher sausage that proudly wears the Heart Foundation Tick of Approval.

Made from 100% NZ Beef, traditionally ground and blended with a mixture of Herbs and Spices, which gives them a more spicy taste than any of our other sausages.

Frankfurters
A traditional Manuka wood smoked and cooked continental Frankfurter made with Pork, Beef and spices.

Ham & Cheese
Manuka wood smoked and cooked continental sausage made with Ham, Pork, NZ Beef, grated Egmont cheese and spices.

Smoked Chorizo Range
These include Mild Chorizo, Spicy Chorizo and a Cheese Chorizo. They are all Manuka wood smoked and cooked. These sausages are made from NZ Beef and Pork. A selection for all the family.

Great selection for a meat platter sliced into pasta or just heated and eaten by themselves.

Cabanossi
The Cabanossi is a thin continental sausage with a spicy taste to them. It is made from Pork and NZ Beef. The Cabanossi is then manuka wood smoked and cooked.

South African Style Sausages

Boerewors
A traditional South African long sausage.

The Mad Butcher Boerewors sausage has been developed to ensure traditional South African tastes are maintained. Made with 100% NZ Beef and filled into a natural Hog casing.

We have had so much positive feedback from ex South Africans, that we know you will love this as well. When cooking on the BBQ, ensure that it is cooked in a solid roll, do not pierce the skin until it is fully cooked, then stick it with a sharp knife and watch the flames jump and the juices flow.

You can now enjoy a great Kiwi sausage. If you have Gluten allergies or Gluten intolerant this is the one for you. The Mad Butcher has developed a sausage meal that guarantees that these sausages are “Gluten free”.

This meal is blended with 100% NZ beef and which complements the taste.

Vegetarian
Yes, The Mad Butcher even offers a meat free sausage.

Our Vegetarian sausages are manufactured from a variety of ingredients, seasonings and spices. They are blended together then cooked. Once they are cooked we peel them from their casing and coat them in golden breadcrumbs.

These sausage can usually be found in at your nearest Mad Butchers freezers.
