You have heard many of the Rest - Now you can hear from One of the Best!

60 year old Wayne Bennett is considered to be one of the Greatest Rugby League Coaches of all time - and he has a record that backs it up! After his playing days which included playing 7 games for Queensland in State of Origin Matches, 2 games for Australia and for Huddersfield in England Wayne took up Coaching.

He made his debut as the Queensland Coach in 1986 and although the Reds lost the series he was retained for a further 2 years and was victorious in 1987 & 1988. In 1987 he was the co coach of the Canberra Raiders side that lost the end of year Winfield Cup Grand Final to Manly 18 - 8. The following year in 1988 he was appointed as Head Coach of the Queensland Team The Brisbane Broncos for their introductory season in the Winfield Cup.

This was to be one of the most successful individual coaching reigns of any team sport worldwide as Wayne Bennett led the Brisbane Broncos to 6 Premierships over a 20 consecutive year period with back to back wins in 1992- 3 -4. In 1998 he resumed as Coach of the Queensland Reds was also selected to ciacg the national team - The Kangaroos.

In 2001 he again took up the challenge of representative coaching with the Queensland team famously recalling Allen Langer back to the Maroons for the third & deciding game which Queensland won. Other coaching successes include an assistant coaches role for our very own NZ Kiwis who won the World cup Final in 2008. Wayne Bennett has coached over 500 premiership - only the second person to reach this incredible milestone and he is without a doubt one of the Greatest Rugby League Coaches of all time.

He is known for his unemotional and steely approach to the TV coverage of Premiership and Representative games along with his unwillingness to give indepth interviews - however there is so much more to Wayne Bennett than is unknown to many people. So at last here is a fantastic opportunity to see and listen to one of the greatest coaches of all time as he tells you of his success & failures on and off the field.

"Wayne Bennett - He believes in himself and his players and he always will" - quote from Darren Lockyer.

"Wayne Bennett seems to have a magic wand. When he waves it the results come" - quote from Mad Butcher.
